Sposib D. The task of the security service of the Organization of Ukrainian nationalists as a security institution

The purpose of the study is to determine the content and characteristics of the tasks of the Security Service as security institutions of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. The technique. The study is based on the use of ideological, general scientific and special scientific methods. The structural-functional method allowed to investigate the structural elements of the security activities of the OUN Security Service, the historical-legal method was used to establish the dependence of the tasks and functions of the Security Service on the conditions of the activity and external calls. The hermeneutic method provided a study of the content of the documents that regulated the activities of the Security Service of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. Results. Identified common and specific tasks that were set before the Security Council of the OUN in the absence of its own state. It is proved that this organization had a number of features inherent to law enforcement agencies with intrinsic essential characteristics that distinguish it from other main activities. The essential tasks characteristic of the Security Council of the OUN as a security institution are aimed at protecting members of the organization. The main activities were intelligence and counterintelligence work, which was designed to counteract enemy intelligence and subversive activities. The ultimate goal was to create the prerequisites for creating your own state in which this organization should perform the functions of a national Security Service. Scientific novelty. It has been established that as a result of the specific conditions of the Security Council, the OUN performed a number of functions not characteristic of it, primarily the court, which was manifested in sentencing and propaganda work. Practical significance. The main conclusions can be useful for improving the activity of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, as well as for disseminating legal knowledge in order to improve the legal culture of the population and law enforcement officers.
