Purpos. The purpose of the study is to study the experience of interaction of the investigator with the units of the criminal police during the pre-trial investigation of the crime of mercenary-violent targeting and the definition of measures to improve such activities. Methodology. The methodology includes a detailed comprehensive analysis and synthesis of available scientific and theoretical material on the raised issues, on the basis of which grounded worldview conclusions and recommendations on disclosure of the essence of the studied concepts are made. Results. On the basis of the systematized material and analyzing the current state of interaction between the investigator and the units of the criminal police during the pre-trial investigation of the offenses of a mercenary-violent direction, we aim to attract attention and encourage a deeper study of this problem by theorists and practitioners. Originality. Given that the forms of interaction in law-enforcement activities are now in the active phase of reforming their legal and organizational framework, and effective counteraction to the crimes of selfish-violent direction requires the integrated use of forces, means and methods of law enforcement, the organization of the interaction of the investigator with the units of the criminal police during pre-trial investigation of crimes of selfish-forcible direction causes the necessity of further detailed scientific comprehension and improvement. Practical significance. The results of the study are aimed at understanding the problems that arise in the process of interaction between the investigator and the units of the criminal police during the pre-trial investigation of the offenses of a mercenary-violent direction and will enhance the effectiveness of such activities.
