Shvedova G. L. General social prevention of corrupt preconditions for the dissemination of human trafficking
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to analyze the phenomenon of corruption as a factor of the spread of human trafficking, to identify its interconnectedness and interdependence, to find out the most effective measures of social protection against the corruption prerequisites of the spread of human trafficking. Methodology. The methodology includes a comprehensive analysis and a synthesis of available scientific and theoretical information. It is includes the formulation of relevant conclusions and recommendations. Such methods of scientific knowledge were used: terminological, logical-semantic, functional, systemic-structural, logical-normative. Results: it was determined, that human trafficking is a crime that violates the rights to freedom, to human honor and dignity, that enshrined and guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine. Despite the growing efforts to investigate criminal proceedings, prosecute and condemn people which are involved in human trafficking, the most convicted traffickers in Ukraine are sentenced to imprisonment by the high level of corruption in the country. The effective measures of the social protection of this phenomenon have to be find out. Originality. The updating of the theoretical and methodological model of general social prevention of corrupt preconditions of the spread of human trafficking should take place on the basis of the cultural concept of crime prevention. The formation of social culture of citizens is a radical means in this concept. Practical significance. The results of the research can be used in legislation and law-enforcement activities during the inquiry of crimes related to human trafficking and corruption.
